City and Crystal Palace fans fume over ‘crazy’ FA Cup final kick-off delay

Fans of Manchester City and Crystal Palace remain in the dark during the kick-off time for this month's FA Cup final, with the delay 'Crazy' calling.

The clubs are coming on Saturday 17 May, but are still waiting for a starting time – or 3 p.m. or 5.30 p.m. – with a suggestion that is in conversation with Police with safety advice groups and the BBC and ITV still have to reach an agreement.

Kevin Parker, general secretary of the official supporters club of the city, said: 'It is ridiculously bad planning, that is what frustrates me. Crazy.

'The FA Cup final has been in the calendar since last summer. Everyone knows when it is, but it seems that everyone comes to supporters before the impact.

'Every year we seem to have a fight with games at Wembley. It's tiring. '

A late start has consequences for travel, the last train back to Manchester Piccadilly is at 9.01 pm.

The last two finals, both of which were Manchester Derbies, started at 3 p.m.
