Arsenal could get a big boost for the semi-final second stage of the Champions League against Paris Saint-Germain after the French side had confirmed an injury to Ousmane Dembele.
The attacker in the form scored the only goal in the first stage at the Emirates, but his participation in Paris is now in doubt after he had picked up a hamstring problem.
Dembele was forced during the second half of Tuesday's collision in Noord -Londen.
He has been emblematic for the transformation on the part of Luis Enrique since the turn of the year and has registered 33 goals and 10 assists in all competitions this period.
In a medical update on Friday, a statement from the French giants was: 'Ousmane Dembele tense his judge hamstring. His condition has implemented well.
“A further assessment will be carried out soon.”
Enrique confirmed that Dembele will not play this weekend in PSG's next game against Strasbourg, with the competition title already confirmed.
The Frenchman gave a rather optimistic prediction of his condition after the victory over the Gunners and insisted that he was 'okay' despite the feeling 'a little bit'.
Enrique added: 'We are going to try to get Dembele back on the field. If Ousmane can play, that's better, not if he doesn't, we will still be a real team. We say that since the start of the season. '
In the meantime, it is unlikely that the Gunners have Jorginho or Riccardo Calafiori back for the return bone in Paris, although the last expected to resume the tasks of the first team next week.
If Arsenal made the final, they could also welcome the return of Kai Havertz, who needed surgery after a hamstring injury at the training camp of the side in Dubai.
Arteta said: “I think if everything goes as it is right now and the way it is planned, I think he gets the chance to play a few games in the season.”
