UFC women's flying weight champion Valentina Shevchenko's first title Reign started with a bang.
Valentina Shevchenko is undoubtedly one of the greatest hunters, male or female, in the history of UFC. While she is preparing to start her second flying weight title, we look back on the spine-tingling way in which Shevchenko started her first walk on the throne.
Shevchenko will be confronted in the UFC 315 Co-Main event in Montreal next Saturday. After a decisive victory over Alexa Grasso in their UFC 306 trilogy, Shevchenko will try to kick off her second stint as the UFC women's flying weight champion in a similar way as her first run.
After beating the legendary Joanna Jedrzejczyk in the first UFC women's flying weight Matchup, Shevchenko faced Jessica Eye on UFC 238, a card with Henry Cejudo's successful attempt at 'Champ-Camp' status.

Valentina Shevchenko needed one staircase for her first successful title defense
Shevchenko did not waste time drafting her game plan against EYE in the UFC 238 Co-Main event. She quickly found her rhythm with legs in the opening round and realized most of the opening minutes.
In the second round, Shevchenko ended the promotion almost as fast as it started.
Shevchenko and Eye met in the middle of the Octagon to start around 2, with an eye who tried to find her timing to possibly shoot for a Takedown. But keeping a low guard eventually became the fall of Eye against the flight weight champion.
Shevchenko countered the low guard of Eye by landing a perfectly timed main kick that knocked the eye unconscious on the canvas. The crowd in Chicago went crazy when Shevchenko celebrated her wild knockout and successful first title defense.

PFL Champ promises to dethen Valentina Shevchenko in Crossover fight
2024 PFL champion Dakota Ditcheva, who has plagued a future step to the UFC hike, is extremely confidence in her chances against Shevchenko in a potential crossover. In a recent interview with Bloody Elbow, Ditcheva hinted a collision with Shevchenko not over the full distance, her ability to earn fast finishes during her young career.
Shortly after he has pronounced public frustration with an uncertain return time line, DitCheva will return to a Pay-per-View card in July in the PFL against an opponent to be explored. She has not fought since she has not completed the former UFC rival of Shevchenko, Taila Santos, at the PFL championships 2024.
When Shevchenko passes Fiorot in her upcoming fight, she will desperately need new, new challengers in the flight weight department. She has already gone through the most best contenders of the division, including her recent victory over Grasso, which also returns to Natalia Silva against Natalia Silva.
