Arsenal ratings: Rice scores on 100th Gunners appearance but David Raya at fault

Arsenal star stars were stunned in eight minutes when they lost from Bournemouth in the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta chose to play a strong side despite the vital second stage of the semi-final of the Champions League against Paris Saint-Germain in just a few days.

The hosts had escaped a few close calls before they took the lead in the first half.

Declan Rice ended a neat movement after he was played on goal by Martin Odegaard.

The midfielder of England was able to complete Kepa Arrizabalaga before he shot home.

The hard work of the Gunners, however, was undone by a long ingruped during the second period.

The ball was thrown in the box with goal and went into the far pole by Cherries star Dean Huijsen.

The visitors got the most from their momentum when Evanilson was able to smuggle the ball in the net past a waving David Raya.

The goal was allowed if an in-depth VAR assessment could not convincingly say that there was a handball from the attacker.

Despite changes in the bank's team, the Gunners fell short when they succumbed to their second defeat.

For example, Sunssport's Jordan Davies rated the Gunners of the Emirates.

David Raya – 5

Most of the first half brought with his thumbs only to give Odegaard a terrible pass that saved Evanilson and almost finished Arsenal no. 1.

Raya recently made a habit of this, including being caught by Mateta's amazing attempt last month. Taking care of someone with a nice reputation as a wipe machine.

He had no chance with the level, but should not have had the ball drip over his line from Evanilson's effort.

Ben White 85 ' – 5

Not a good start-crazy by Ouattara in the opening for two minutes.

There were a number of clear sparks of his link with Saka on the left Never cause chaos, brilliant chipping for rice in the distant post that was well defended.

Yet he does not look his normal self, hardly surprising how much time he spent in the medical room. Has the appearance of a player desperately looking for a nice, relaxing summer.

William Saliba – 8

When Arsenal is not at their best, there is always one man you can count on.

Made a beautiful last ditch on Outtara to deny a certain goal just after the half -hour marking and then brought the curl of Kluisert on the roof of the net before he has a tackle brilliant timing with Semenyo Clear in the second half.

Also played his role in the opener of Rice, a cute film around the corner to start the attack.

Jakub Kiwior – 6

Really impressed by his range of passing in recent weeks and today no different, about the top for Martinelli that almost produced a one-V-one.

However, he is still suspected of defensive, slips into the box to allow Evanilson a free header that the Brazilian should have converted.

Myles Lewis -Skelly – 7

What else can you say about this child? It seems that he belongs at this level, but it certainly lacks that he has Gabriel next to him for protection instead of Kiwior.

Was close to Huijsen van de Lange-throw before the Leveler van Bournemouth, but always struggled to compete to keep the ball free with the height difference.

Moved to midfield in the final phase with the score and time against them.

Thomas Partey – 6

One of those games. Some good, some bad, with different steps that stray.

Missed a tackle on Outtara with which Bournemouth could prevent, but his presence that was greatly missed against PSG was desperately needed, so that Rice and Odegaard could bomb forward.

Martin Odegaard – 7

Quite quiet and modest to start with. Had he listened to the critics? No chance.

A player of this quality never loses it, and the timing of his pass to put in rice was inch-perfect.

These are now three assists in his last four games in all competitions – not bad for a player who supposedly supposedly in a rut?

But the football gods are never nice, and he was caught clambering to defend Evanilson on a corner and saw it float over the line.

Declan Rice 74 ' – 9

Was practically a second no. 10 in the early stages. Drove into the box from a Martinelli film but dragged wide and then ran an uncomfortable Derwil with a similar result.

Could have been on the distant pole then, but he finally got his reward with a cool finish that Kepa completed from an excellent Odegaardpas.

Simply his third premist strike this period, but eighth in all competitions, which exceeds last season's count, and all at his 100th performance for the Gunners.

Bukayo Saka 85 ' – 6

Was kept silent by Kerkez in the first half, perhaps saving his energy, and he certainly exploded from the blocks in the second half, saw a header saved by Kepa and then just past the distant pole.

But then he struggled to get into the game.

Leandro Trossard – 6

Lively and weaving, want to win a place in that PSG that starts XI, but often looks lost as a no. 9, which fall too deep or too wide, leave the team without a central point.

When he remained central, he got opportunities and saw a smart header on the line of Kepa.

Gabriel Martinelli 85 ' – 6

Effective as a maker, rice twice, but plucked the best chance of his side on the first half with a shot just in the box.

But again, when Arsenal needed something extra, especially when the scores were on 1-1 he did not have the answer.

Subs:

Mikel Merino 74 ' – 6

One of his first acts was running back to half the line after Bournemouth reached the score at 2-1.

From there it was all a bit desperate and last-gasp.

Ethan Nwaneri 85 ' – N / A

Oleksandr Zinchenko 85 ' – N / A

Raheem Sterling 85 ' – NVT
