Dillon Danis viciously trolled by former UFC star after he teases combat sports comeback

Former UFC star Darren Till shut down Dillon Danis' recent attempt to motivate his fanbase ahead of his potential return to fighting.

Dillon Danis has made more noise outside of fights than in the cage or ring, but that won't stop him from pursuing a possible next career chapter. The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu wiz is teasing a possible return to fighting for the first time since his head-scratching loss to Logan Paul in the boxing ring last year.

Since the loss to Paul, Danis has shared numerous clips from training alongside top minds like UFC superstar Alex Pereira. While it is uncertain whether or not Danis will return to boxing or MMA, he is back in the gym and appears to be serious about eventually resuming competition.

After Danis posted a cryptic message hinting at renewed motivation, former UFC title challenger Darren Till criticized the polarizing athlete in a brutal response on social media.

Darren Till slams Dillon Danis after teasing a possible return to action

It all started when Danis took a break from his constant online trolling to try and inspire his followers.

“The game isn't over when you lose, it's over when you give up,” Danis said.

It didn't take long for Till, who will make his boxing return next month, to dismiss Danis' attempt at motivational speaking.

“You have to achieve something in the game to act like you do in the game,” Till responded to Danis.

At the time of writing, Danis has not responded to Till's shot. Before making his boxing debut last year, Danis amassed a 2-0 MMA record in Bellator, defeating Max Humphrey and Kyle Walker.

Danis' once-promising tenure with Bellator came to an abrupt end after a long hiatus. After a four-year absence from MMA, Bellator parted ways with Danis last year, a full week after his defeat to Paul.

Till will make his professional boxing debut against Jake Paul's former rival, Tommy Fury, at MF & DAZN: X Series 20 in Manchester next month. He won his exhibition boxing debut earlier this year against Mohammad Mutie via TKO.

Although it appears that Danis and Till are not allies, both athletes share some similarities. They have both amassed large followings on their social media pages amid their rise and fall in battle, and both are looking to turn the page on some of their recent struggles outside of competition.

Danis has been teasing a return to MMA for months, but at the time of writing, nothing has emerged regarding a return to the cage. After a string of losses in five of his last six UFC fights, Till parted ways with the promotion last year but predicts an eventual return to the Octagon.

Danis and Till are both known to push the boundaries when it comes to trash talk before and after fights. Until recently, he became involved in a chaotic onstage brawl with John Fury, which brought an abrupt end to a pre-fight press conference.

As we continue to wait for Danis' focused return to combat sports, his opponents like Till continue to question his seriousness. Only time will tell if Danis will ultimately remind fans of his once-intriguing potential in combat.
