MU target £42.5m budget boost for Amorim as two transfer priorities identified

Manchester United wants to discharge the real Betis -Leninglee Antony this summer, but they will not hold formal discussions during a sale until the end of the season

Manchester United becomes optimistic that they can earn back to £ 42.5 million (€ 50 million) for Antony this summer in a large boost for the finances of Ruben Amorim. The 25-year-old Brazilian has delivered six goals and delivered four assists for real betis since he came to the club in January.

And Betis believes that Antony has already given them his word that he would like to stay in the club after the end of the season. However, United is currently parking formal transfer negotiations until the end of the campaign, because both clubs are currently fighting tooth and nail for European glory but in the background.

Nevertheless, United has already decided that the signing sessions of a new striker and no. 10, namely Matheus Cunha, are their top priorities and they want those deals to happen as quickly as possible.

Antony scored on Thursday for Betis in their semi-final victory at the conference competition on Fiorentina and Old Trafford Chiefs are also happy to have other parties the chance to throw in their hat.

Atletico Madrid has also been asked about the availability of Antony and United are determined to stimulate an auction because they know that betis could struggle to match their financial requirements about a permanent transfer.

The preference of Betis would be to obtain another loan for the ex-Ajax attacker, who came to the Red Devils in August 2022 in a deal with a value of a maximum of £ 86 million, but United will insist on a sale to strengthen Amorim's purchasing power.

Betis icon Joaquin, now being part of the club's board, recently joked that he is willing to kidnap Antony in an attempt to keep him in the club and tell the Spanish TV: “I will give the car if he has to be kidnapped, but let him stay whatever is. This is the moment to enjoy.”

Antony's agent Junior Pedroso recently returned to United Boss Amorim about claiming that the winger was struggling with the physicality of the Premier League.

Yet the Brazil -International still seems to respect the Portuguese coach and recently to say about Amorim: “I only had a short time [Amorim]But he is a very good coach.

“A very intelligent coach. United is currently going through a difficult time, but he is a good coach. I had a good relationship with him, but I needed a new challenge and I wish him all the happiness in the world in this last part of the season.”

Interestingly, Betis saw bids for Antony and Christian Eriksen beat again last August by United, because Erik ten Hag wanted to keep the duo.

But Antony only played a 135 -minute Premier League campaign during the first half of the campaign and the Red Devils wanted to save money on his wages. His value has since been looking for the back of its fine shape in Seville and United consider the loan as a huge success.
