Crystal Palace -Baas Oliver Glasner chases a Premier League record for their match at home on Nottingham Forest on Monday.
The Eagles are currently at 45 points with four games left and still need five points to beat their record in total, which was matched for the third time last season.
And Glasner, whose team has a FA Cup final against Manchester City to look for later this month, has record in his sights.
“Our goal is very clear and we want the most points in the history of the palace,” he said, as quoted by BBC Sport.
“That means that we need at least five out of four games and the best to reach is getting three points against Nottingham and then three points against Tottenham. Then the first goal is achieved, and then we can concentrate on the final in FA Cup.
“We want to win at home. I looked at the semi -final against City, I watched them last night and showed what a good team they are, even if they lost both games. They play for European places and they will be very motivated and we need the same motivation.”
For Nottingham Forest, Nuno Espirito Santo has meanwhile stated that the pressure did not come to his players after Thursday's defeat against Brentford.
That loss left the forest outside the top five on target difference, which means that they could miss a place in the Champions League.
“We don't see it, but we feel it. We must find the explanation for this in ourselves. But I don't see it [pressure]I see faith, desire and dedication, “said Nuno.
But the reality is that we are struggling in some aspects of our game – focus and determination to be practical and to resolve the situations that are easy to resolve. [To get back to ourselves] is the basic option we have. We don't have to change, we have to go back and find our version.
“We are many times clear and talked about how we play. Our basis is compact and solid, we don't give away opportunities. We are a team that always covers, so our opponents have to do much more to achieve what they have achieved today.”

-Crystal Palace FC (@CPFC) May 1, 2025 Crystal Palace-Jean-Philippe Mateta
Mateta has scored 10 goals in his last 13 Premier League performances, all in 2025.
It is the second consecutive season that he scored from January to the end of the season 10+ goals and 14 scored in 18 games in 2023-24 in that period of time, with Andrew Johnson the only Eagles player to reach this in advance (11 in 2004-05).
Nottingham Forest – Chris Wood
Wood has scored 17 goals in his last 24 Premier League appearances on the road for Nottingham Forest and has nine goals this season, without forest player who once scores 10 away in a season.
He could be the sixth player who scores 10+ at home goals and 10+ goals in a Premier League season older than 30 years, with Mohamed Salah also reaching that in 2024-25.
Match forecast: Crystal Palace Win
Palace comes in this game after having won five and signed one of their last six games in all competitions in Selhurst Park.
Glasner's Kant has only lost two of their last 11 home games in all games.
Forest has since lost four of their last five games.
However, the difficult trees have won two of their last three away Premier League matches in London (L1), just as much as during their previous 23 trips to the Capital Combined (W2 D5 L16). Forest wants to win three away in London in the Premier League in a season for the second time and also do this in 1994-95.
Indeed, Forest has won nine Premier League matches this season and has won only three times 10 of the flight matches in a season-in 1977-78 (finished 1st), 1978-79 (2nd) and 1994-95 (third).
