The former midfielder of Tottenham said on Sky Sports: “Every team in the Premier League would take Kevin De Bruyne. If he really goes, Mikel Arteta knows him, he must immediately come on the phone and say: 'Come and draw for Arsenal, we win the competition with you.
“They have Champions League football. I would be on the phone right away, give him what he wants, to get him in that team because he is a winner, he knows how to win and he is still a top player. It makes a huge difference.”

De Bruyne has been open about the circumstances behind his city output, including the details of how the decision was passed on to him. Intriguing, he refused to exclude in the Premier League when the idea was put to him last month after City Everton had defeated.
“It came as a bit of a shock. I am open to everything (including stay in the Premier League),” he told reporters. “I have to look at the whole picture, sporty, the family, everything together, which is most logical for my family. I don't know what it is. It depends on when you talk to people about projects and things.”
