Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold has already confirmed that he will leave Anfield at the end of the season and the search is looking for Arne Slot to find the defender's successor
Liverpool is now preparing for life without Trent Alexander-Arnold. The defender has announced that he will leave Anfield at the end of the season.
His contract is going next month and a move to Real Madrid is expected to be announced. Alexander-Arnold confirmed his emotional departure in a long video on social media.
His decision brings an end to a glittering Liverpool career. The right back of England has scored 23 goals and near-countless assists about his 352 performances for the Merseyside Giants.
And that was the key to the Reds that two Premier League titles won, the Champions League, FA Cup and a whole series of other trophies. It will be a discouraging task for everyone to be selected as his successor.
That is the task that Liverpool has for them this summer, but Spiegel Voetbal has tried to give the club some help by choosing some potential candidates.
The excellent name to follow Alexander-Arnold on Anfield was able to follow Bradley well in the footsteps of his fellow academy. After he joined the club as a 15-year-old, the Northern Irish International has risen due to the youth ranks until he made his first team debut during the 2021/22 season under Jurgen Klopp.
A loan spell at Bolton Wanderers was very productive, with Bradley showing his attacking competence after he had scored seven goals in all competitions for the then League One -side. Bradley returned to MerseSide a much better player and made 23 performances the next campaign, making him his first goal for the club.
The 21-year-old has continued his development under Arne Slot this period, in which the Dutchman suggests that he is the obvious choice to follow Alexander-Arnold.

Another name that has been regularly mentioned with regard to a move to Anfield has been very successful in recent years. He graduated from the Academy of Manchester City and was picked up by Celtic before moving to Bayer Leverkusen.
And that is where the Dutchman has shown. Frimpong has become one of the most effective attacking fullbacks in Germany, because he yielded nine goals when Leverkusen won the Bundesliga last season.
He previously revealed that he had chosen Liverpool as a young person, just to move to the city instead.
The 24-year-old sticking to the Dutch right backs that have already been linked to Liverpool, the 24-year-old made his name under Arne Slot with Feyenoord before moving to German Giants RB Leipzig. During his time in the Eredivisie, he also developed a reputation as a very effective attacking right back.
His last season with Feyenoord saw him score nine goals in all competitions. Although he has only one strike this term, he has still become an important player for Leipzig with 31 performances in all competitions.
The German side can demand a high price tag for the services of Gertruida, which could drop Liverpool, but he would certainly be an option.
Dumfries has already completed a hat trick of Dutch right backs and has all his fans in the Premier League, in particular Manchester United. Liverpool is also connected in the past.
Dumfries started his career in the Eredivisie and eventually walked to PSV. And after impressing Euro 2020, the Italian giant Inter Milan picked him up.
Dumfries has remained a very effective defender who has won Serie A last term, as well as two Italian cups. This season he also contributed to the Run from the Champions League -and -half final – his recent brace against Barcelona two of the ten goals he scored this season.
Somewhat of a left-wing field for the replacement of Alexander-Arnold, the Flamengo defender has emerged as one of the most exciting fullbacks in world football. Liverpool has already been associated with their scouts who identify him as a potential option.
A deal may be difficult with the Brazilian side that demands around € 30-35 million (£ 29 million) for the 21-year-old, while there is competition for his services. Premier League -Rivalen Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal are also linked, while Barcelona also keeps an eye on the future of Franca.
