Norgaard: Mbeumo ‘likely’ to leave at the end of the season

Brentford captain Christian Norgaard believes that Bryan Mbeumo is “probably” “probably” this summer to leave the club after a fantastic goal season.

This season, Mbeumo scored 18 goals in the Premier League and has been an integral part of the success of the bees, so that they are pulled to the upper half of the table and serious interest from various top prime minister competition clubs.

Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham and Newcastle United belong to the parties connected to him.

The Cameroon International is perhaps not the only important departure, with Yoane Wissa – also on 18 goals – allegedly also moving.

Only Mohamed Salah (28), Alexander Isak (22) and Erling Haaland (21) have so far scored more than the Brentford pair.

There have also been reports that link Kevin damage, which scored 10 goals this period, to a return to Germany.

The bees are currently ninth in the Premier League, level with Brighton and only a point of Bournemouth after their dramatic 4-3 victory over Manchester United on Sunday.

Great company to be in

Speaking with Sky Sports, Norgaard said he expects Mbeumo to leave.

“I think Bryan will probably go,” said Brentford's captain.

“I don't know anything about Wissa yet. Everyone hopes that he might stay. Anyway, I am happy for the season and I am happy for both. They deserve it so much.”

Despite the rumors, Norgaard remained calm and added that the bees in the past have lost and replaced the most important attackers.

And it's true. Brentford has a history of successful replacement of top-attacking talent-classes selling Watkins and said Benrahma for a combined £ 54 million in 2020, and Ivan Toney to Al-Ahli last summer for nearly £ 40 million.

“I am pretty calm about what will happen to Bryan and Wissa,” the Dane added.

“Many questions are asked about them, and you can almost feel the worries around the players when you talk about it, perhaps leave us.

“I was one [of them] When we lost Ollie Watkins, Benrahma, Ivan Toney said. So it's going further. “

Norgaard also praised the recruitment of the club, pointing to the new signing of Igor Thiago as a key figure for the future.

“But the club has already brought in Igor Thiago, who is another fantastic character, and he will also conquer the competition at some point.

“If so, I don't know, but I'm sure he will be ready if Wissa gets his dream movement, or Bryan leaves and there will be a change of the attacking players.

“I think the club is so talented in recruiting and is always two or three steps ahead.”
