Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi celebrated his winning goal in the semi-final of the Champions League in the San Siro so wild that he almost fainted
Inter Milan -hero Davide Frattesi admitted that his goal celebration was so wild that he felt that he was almost fainting. Fratteni was the competition winner for Inter on a dramatic evening in the San Siro, climbing the bank to score the final goal in a 4-3 victory that sent them past Barcelona and entered the Champions League final.
Inter had ordered the game early on, after he took a 2-0 lead at night thanks to the Tap-in from Lautaro Martinez and the controversial penalty of Hakan Calhanoglu.
But Barcelona roared back to lead 3-2 after Raphinha found the bottom corner in the 87th minute to add to earlier strikes by Eric Garcia and Dani Olmo.
The home team was moments away from leaving the competition when Denzel Dumfries crossed for veteran defender Francesco Acerbi, who ended as a Prime Center-Forward to bring the score to 3-3 and send the competition in extra time.
Barca had been in the second half in the second half, but Fratesi chose the bottom corner with a cool finish of Mehdi Taremi's dismissal to give the lead with 7-6 on aggregated and they held on to the showpiece in Munich later this month, where they will play the winner of Saint-Germain Vsmain.
Frattesi was introduced by Simone Inzaghi as a 79th minute replacement for Henrikh Mkhitaryan and embodied the inter-fight. After scoring, he sprinted to the corner flag screaming before he climbed a gate to get closer to the home fans – and he certainly felt the effects of his efforts.
“I was lucky to see the game, because I was so many fourth that I was dizzy and almost had a blackout!” Frattesi admitted. “I have to thank the physios, because yesterday I had a belly tension, so they worked incredibly to make me fit for this competition.
“It's just incredible, I don't know what to say. I thought I could not repeat that emotion after the game of Bayern Munich, but it was even more incredible tonight. This is the beauty of football. This was really my career. I was not blessed with incredible talent, but I am the last to give up and the first thing to believe.”

Fratteni went on the field a few minutes after his goal and needed treatment at the Inter Medical Staff. But he made it to the end of the 120 minutes when goalkeeper Yann Sommer made a number of amazing saves to refuse Lamine Yamal.
Frattesi has now assured himself of the hero status among inter-supporters, after he also scored a late winner in their quarter-final first leg win at Bayern Munich at the beginning of April. At the time, the midfielder tore out his shirt to celebrate the goal to bring the score to 2-1 in Bavaria and devoted it to his deceased grandmother.
