Du Plessis offers a timeline for Chimaev title fight
Earlier this week, 'Still Knocks', however, offered a positive update about the title fight, which stated that the fight is a matter of days to be announced.
“We have a potential of two dates. I have already agreed to both,” Du Plessis told Sias du Plessis.
“The announcement will be made soon. It will take place for a maximum of four months in the coming months. Nothing has been signed, but I have already agreed in a date,” the champion continued.
Initially, there were rumors that Du Plessis had sustained a long -term injury, which resulted in different middle weights that called for an interim title fight.
Nevertheless, Du Plessis closes the injury rumors, confirming that he is ready to fight and is injury free.
UFC Middleweight Title Fight can take place in America despite worries
Together with the first concerns with regard to a potential injury, fans were not sure whether 'Borz' Chimaev in the United States was able to compete due to earlier issues related to achieving a visa.
However, after Chimaev claimed that the rumors are false, Dana White also put the rumors in bed by stating that he has no problems fighting in the United States.
And with that it opens various potential dates for Chimaev to finally fight Du Plessis, where UFC 319 is the next likely date.
