Pedro will be 38 in July and Lazio Sports Chief Angelo Fabiani has explained plans to extend the Spaniard deal with another 12 months.
Pedro said to La Gazzetta Dello Sport: “As far as I'm concerned, I decided that I will play for at least another year. I am really happy here and I would really like to continue this adventure.
“I heard his (Fabiani's) words and I was very satisfied. I can say that we are discussing the renewal and I think finding an agreement will not be a problem.”
Future Coaching
Fabiani also stated that there will be a place for Pedro in Lazio as soon as he retires.
The veteran continued: “And I was also very satisfied with that. However, this will be a choice to make with my family later. But yes, it would be nice to stay in Lazio even afterwards.
“Being a coach is a prospect that really appeals to me, but I have not yet decided if I should take this career. The only certainty, at the moment I want to stay in the world of football, in what role we will see.”
