Mikel Arteta raised the eyebrows of a reporter with a daring claim he made in a live TV interview after the defeat of Arsenal against Paris Saint-Germain.
The Spaniard was determined that his side was the better team over the two legs, despite losing both games in a 3-1 total defeat.
He also suggested that PSG had their goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma to thank for the victory and said he was the man of the game in both feet.
But CBS Sports reporter Anita Jones quickly corrected the Arsenal -Baas live in the air, and pointed out that Achraf Hakimi had actually received the prize after he had received the winner in Paris.
The interview continued awkward when the reporter Arteta began to push further.
The Chief Gunners repeated the claims he made in his press conference after the game that coaches at the opposition bench had admitted that Arsenal was the better team that PSG boss Luis enrique later denied.
And Jones was quick to quice arteta about who he had been spoken.
She asked, “Who did you speak sorry with?”
A surprised Arteta avoided the question and instead explained why his team lost, which suggested that they did not have enough quality in the attacking box.
Jones asked again: “Who did you speak with?”
“A few people of them,” Arteta replied.
Jones then said nasty, “Oh and they shared that opinion.”
Fans love the exchange and no-nonsense approach of the reporter.
Responded to say, “Damn, she is furious.”
Another added: “That woman has more balls that interviews him than any other interviewer, Fair Play for her because she has stuck it to him.”
And a third wrote: “This is comedy gold. The way she pushes him and you can just see how he lies straight up.”
Arteta also made the claim that Arsenal was the best team in this year's Champions League.
He said: “I don't think there has been a better team in the competition so far.
“But we're out tonight and we earn a lot more in both games.
“But this competition is about the boxes, the strikers and a keeper, who was their best player in both games.”
