Controversial social media star HSTikkyTokky slaps famed commentator as pair agree to boxing fight next year
Controversial social media star HSTikkyTokky overcame an alleged injury to get into the ring and punch his next opponent last night in Qatar.
The brash Tik Tok sensation, who has millions of fans, was due to fight at Misfits Boxing's big debut in Doha last night. But he was forced to leave the show at the last minute after reportedly suffering an injury, which clearly wasn't serious enough to cost him the chance to cut an in-ring promo.
The social media roaster, whose real name is Harrison Sullivan, announced he will face commentator Wade Plemons next year at an undisclosed date. The pair faced off and even got physical during a WWE-style segment in the ring during the DAZN broadcast.
Wade Plemons and HSTikkyTokky get physical in the comical first confrontation
Heading into last night's event, KSI had teased that he would be making a big fight announcement, which many fans assumed would be for his own comeback. But that wasn't the case, and instead he confirmed commentator Wade Plemons' return to Misfits.
The American is loved by influencer boxing fans, but was unceremoniously dumped from the Misfits Boxing broadcast last year during a dispute with promoter Mams Taylor. They presented the segment as if Plemons came in as an outsider, but it's likely they settled their differences.
Plemons cut a promo stating that he was not on the show to co-commentate with Ben Davis, but instead wanted to get in the ring and fight. KSI then insisted he face the most dangerous prospect on their roster, announcing the 1-0 Sullivan as his opponent.
The mocking Brit made his way to the ring and goaded his rival, who claimed he could commentate and knock out Sullivan in one night. And things got physical when the London resident punched Plemons, prompting the pair to be pulled apart by security at just the right moment.
Plemons is a YouTuber and martial arts commentator, who has been involved in PFL, BKFC and other broadcasting during his time. He has commented on the likes of Jake Paul, Floyd Mayweather and Nate Diaz during his run.
Meanwhile, Sullivan is a fitness influencer who, along with his friend Ed Matthews, rose to popularity during the coronavirus lockdowns with his outrageous livestreams. He currently lives in Dubai where he is involved in cryptocurrency trading and other businesses.
HSTikkyTokky withdrew from his last Misfits Boxing fight due to an alleged injury
Sullivan was scheduled to return to the ring last night in Qatar but was forced out due to injury. The alleged injury, which Bloody Elbow understands to be to his shoulder, did not stop him from having several physical altercations after arriving in Doha.
He skipped all of fight week, but would have weighed in during Wednesday morning's weigh-ins. However, later in the day he skipped the ceremonies, with no mention of what happened during the broadcast.
He was set to face Love Island star Moziah Pinder, who goes by the ring name 'Mosai Warrior'. in a fight announced a week earlier. But he first claimed to have been injured by a crude message, before going on to claim that news media reporting his statement was 'fake news'.
He posted a video on his second Instagram page of his girlfriend dining at Nobu, with the crass caption: “Quick nobu with @lillie_may6 in Qatar. I injured my shoulder last night strumming too hard on the narn, so unfortunately I can't cut tomorrow, big love.
But when news channel IFN shared the screenshot with a caption claiming he had withdrawn, he tweeted: “WTF is this fake news. Those asses getting punched in the face tonight.”
Promotional material surrounding the fight was removed from the broadcast and generally seemed to confirm that it was off. However, Sullivan claims to have had an altercation with his rival at the fight hotel, and says Pinder was the one who pulled out of the fight.
Whatever the case, it all led to a comical confrontation with Plemons and the guarantee that the duo would be working at some point next year.
