‘I’m linked with Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd – Premier League transfer is my dream’

With many of the big boys of the Premier League who want to focus a striker, a European frontman can stand in line for a move to England, given his earlier comments on the subject

Patrik Schick has already made his wish to play in the Premier League clearly, in the midst of the interest of some of the best clubs in England. The striker of Bayer Leverkusen enjoyed an impressive season and scored 25 goals, 19 of which came into the Bundesliga.

The German side could only claim the DFL-Supercup for silverware when Bayern Munich became competitive champions again. However, the return from Schick to scoring bravery can lead to the 29-year-old earning a move abroad. The will of Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal are linked to the signing of the striker after five years at Leverkusen.

The Czech international cut its teeth in Germany for the first time during a loan spell with RB Leipzig in the 2019/20 season of Roma. It turned out to be a success with the striker with 10 goals in 22 league games, in which the side ended third in the competition and reached the semi -final of the UEFA Champions League.

It was during his Stint in Leipzig that Schick revealed that although he had already realized that his dream to play in Italy, the chance to compete in England was one that he enjoyed.

“When I left the Czech Republic, my dream was to play in Italy and I achieved that,” he told iSport.cz in 2020. “Now I feel very attracted to England, to be honest. Leipzig was definitely the right choice for my career. I also spoke with Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusenen and Schalerkenenen and Schalerkesen and Schalerkesen and Schalerkusenen and Schalerkusenen and Schalerkusenen and Schalerkesen and Schalerkusenen and Schalerkusenen and Schalerkusenen and Schalerkusenen and Schalerkusen and Schalerkusenen and Schalerkesen and Schalerkusenen and here in Germany.

“In England there were Everton and Crystal Palace, Plus Valencia in Spain. I just felt that Leipzig wanted me more, and I was also attracted to the playing style of coach Julian Nagelsmann. I am sure I made the right choice.”

If Schick decides to end his Leverkusen trip, he will join his manager, Xabi Alonso, on the road after the Spaniard has announced his intention to leave the club at the end of the season.

Now that Carlo Ancelotti would leave Real Madrid this summer, Alonso is said to be in line to replace the Italian in what a return to his former club would be. “This week the club and I have been agreed that these two games will be my last as Bayer Leverkusen-Coach,” said the ex-Livepool midfielder on Friday.

“It is not a moment to talk too much about the future, because for some players we want to say goodbye on Sunday, for myself, and it is the right time to announce it. We have to enjoy this moment with mixed emotions.

“It is emotional, I spoke with the players, the staff, so many people who helped me during an incredible, fantastic three years. This is a time to share it with the fans in this stadium where I have lived great emotions and get what I am now.”
