Jack della Maddalena, Islam Makhachev and their teams are already hooking after UFC 315.
UFC Welterweight champion Jack della Maddalena and lightweight title holder Islam Makhachev inflamed a budding rivalry, only a few hours after the title win of Maddalena on UFC 315.
Maddalena shocked the UFC world by beating Belal Muhammad by a unanimous decision in the UFC 315 headliner on Saturday in Montreal. In a 'fight of the year' candidate from start to finish, Maddalena and Muhammad fans treated a wild firefight, but it was Maddalena who landed the larger strokes when the action took place.
Maddalena closed an unbeaten point in the UFC Octagon with a Welterweight Championship profit at UFC 315. Only a few minutes after his title profit, Maddalena quickly focused his attention on his likely next rival.

Makhachev confirmed anything but a step up to challenge the UFC -Welterweight title after viewing the victory of Maddalena. Makhachev did not waste time to deal with the newly crowned title holder, after Maddalena promised to 'take revenge' for Alexander Volkanovski.
An important presence in the Vechtkamp of Maddalena for UFC 315 was decorated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coach Craig Jones. Meddalena, partly thanks to Jones's advice, was able to fill Most Takedown attempts from Mohammed and to make a one-dimensional fight.
It is known that Jones pushes the envelope and print himself in trash. While Maddalena is preparing for Makhachev, possibly later this year, Jones did not keep back in mocking Maddalena's likely first title -Uitdager.
In a recent Instagram post, Jones Makhachev and Dagestani struggle while the Maddalena Super Fight talks overhang.
“The only thing that every Russian man fears,” Jones posted.
“Sambo is literally only 2 judo boys who decided to take their pants to struggle. What I respect.
“Sambo and wrestling turned out to be fake again, [Islam Makhachev]. “
At the moment Makhachev did not respond to Jones' accusations. Makhachev defeated the most recently Renato Moicano on UFC 311 to retain the UFC light weight belt, a title that he has held since UFC 280.
With Maddalena and Volkanovski who hoist both UFC titles for Australia, the UFC could possibly book both champions for the next trip of the promotion under. Maddalena, a resident of Perth, wants to stand Makhachev in his hometown for his first defending defense.
Another possible option is the Pay-per-View return from the UFC to Abu Dhabi in October. Makhachev is not going to leave the lightweight belt because he strives for a 'new competition' to get out of the peloton.
Belal Muhammad gave first public comments after astonishing loss at UFC 315
In his first commentary on the fight, Muhammad went to X to ensure that he is planning to be in the Octagon in the Octagon soon. Muhammad won the UFC Welterweight title by beating Leon Edwards on UFC 304 last July.
After losing the belt at UFC 315, many prominent names asked Muhammad for his approach to Maddalena in the Octagon. UFC Middleweight Star Robert Whittaker was one of the many top hunters who interrogates the lack of wrestling of Mohammed against Maddalena.
The loss of Muhammad broke an 11-Vecht undefeated line in his first defeat since January 2019. He defeated the will of Gilbert Burns, Stephen Thompson and Demian Maia amidst his climb to the UFC Welterweight title.
Muhammad will probably have to win at least one fight before he gets a different title shot, making a possible rematch made with Sean Brady who is intriguing later this year. In the meantime, Maddalena is looking ahead to meet the pound-for-pound king of the UFC in his first title defense.
