Gerrard suffers big blow as friend’s water company CLOSES with eye-watering debt

Steven Gerrard licks his wounds after a company in which he invested heavily, was forced to close in Bergen debts.

The Liverpool -legend and colleague investors reportedly pumped £ 2.5 million into his friend's water company, according to the sun.

But now Angel Revive Alkaline Water is forced to close after years of financial struggle and bills on business house, shows a debt of £ 542,220. Almost £ 400,000 of them are in unpaid rent.

Gerrard had a 25 percent interest in the company and reportedly has £ 50,000 of his money back, but still misses lots. He was also a brand ambassador.

Angel Revive was founded in 2016 by Mark Doyle and Gerrard rather called it 'the superhero of waters in purity, nutrition and health'.

The water came from a spring in the Lancashire countryside and his website said that it contains 'natural minerals and electrolytes that promote wellness for the body', so that an 'optimum pH -balance' was maintained.

However, the company is now mentioned as 'permanently closed' on Google and the link to its website on Instagram leads to a 'domain incorrectly configured' page.

Angel Revive has succeeded in gathering another one of more than 34,000 users on Instagram, but has not been posted since December 2021.

The company would have around £ 1 million debts in October 2020.

The water comes from a water formation in Mawdesley, Lancashire, with reports that went back to the 1700s of its healing benefits.

Doyle said earlier: 'Our spring and water have been the subject of countless reports and comments about the curative benefits of water since Elizabethan times.

“However, we do not claim that our water can heal you – the faith is yours.

“For unknown reasons, spring was covered and buried more than a century until the history and benefits were brought to the attention of the current landowner.”

Doyle was initially encountered the natural spring in his backyard and brought an excavator to find the source before he had it for sale and bottles.

Gerrard will be looking for his next Opoportunity after he left the Saudi-Arab side Al-Attifaq in January.

He is one of the four former Premier League bosses who, according to the Telegraph, are on the shortlist for the Rangersbaan. Philippe Clement was fired in February and Barry Ferguson has an interim indictment.

Gerrard led Rangers to the Scottish Premiership title in 2020-21, won 32 of 28 league matches, was unbeaten and gave only 13 goals.

Since then, however, his stints with Aston Villa and Al-Attifaq have been more a mixed bag.
