Paddy Pimblett predicts ‘big implications’ for his career as UFC 315 triggers lightweight title uncertainty

Paddy Pimblett believes that his career will be influenced by the UFC 315 Main Event.

The top lightweight competition watched from home while Jack della Maddalena welterweight champion Belal Muhammad in the Bell Center in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, has dethroned on Saturday evening.

Post-Fight, 155LB Koning Islam Makhachev confirmed that he will enter a division to challenge the new 170LB champion.

Paddy Pimblett predicts that movement will have enormous consequences for him and the other light weights that compete for a shot on UFC Gold.

Paddy Pimblett responds to UFC 315

Paddy Pimblett shared his live response to various UFC 315 fights on YouTube.

“This is going to shake my division in a great way,” he said after the main event ended.

Pimblett continued to break down a potential fight between Della Maddalena and Makhachev.

'The Baddy' also considered the impact that UFC 315 could have on his young MMA career.

“Della vs Islam, he showed that he has a good Takedown defense,” Pimblett added.

“But Islam is another beast, right?

“So we will have to see how his strength transfers to good weight.

“Let's see what is happening in my division now. He eventually fights for the belt and eventually gets the belt. Can have major implications for my career in the future.”

When will Paddy Pimblett fight again?

Paddy Pimblett hit Michael Chandler to become a top lightweight competition at UFC 314.

A month later, the 30-year-old Englishman still celebrates his biggest victory so far.

Pimblett's drastic weight gain has stunned fans in recent weeks, but he has enough time to cut back because he is not going to fight again until October.

“My plan was before the fight was to fight in Abu Dhabi in October,” he said in April.

“I've always wanted to fight there. The UFC always does a pay-per-view there in October.

“I just think it would be the perfect time to come back. Charge my batteries in the summer, keep training every day, keep the weight low and then go back to the camp in August or September immediately.”
