‘You need to stop’… Former boxing champions slam Ariel Helwani for comments regarding Jake Paul
As Jake Paul continues to make an impact in the boxing world, he still receives criticism but now appears to be winning a side of the sport.
Following his recent controversial win over Mike Tyson in what went down as the biggest combat sports event in modern history, critics continue to slam Jake Paul for his choice of opponents.
Despite this, 'The Problem Child' called for a cruiserweight title fight against Canelo Alvarez after his win, which is highly unlikely.

Carl Froch discusses Ariel Helwani and Jake Paul's manager
Former super-middleweight boxing champion Carl Froch was recently named by Jake Paul's manager, Nakisa Biderian, after Froch claimed he would beat the 27-year-old with 'one arm tied behind my back'.
Biderian slammed the Brit, claiming that 'no one in America knows who he is, suggesting he is trying to secure a fight against Paul to improve his name worldwide.
Froch was unhappy with Biderian's comments, criticizing him for running the 'clown show Fake Paul' and going on to list his and his fellow British boxers' accolades in America.
However, the former champion then went on to criticize MMA and boxing journalist Ariel Helwani for his support of Paul, claiming that Froch is 'begging' for a fight against him and that he is not known in America.
“Ariel Helwani talked about nonsense, absolute nonsense, on his show last week, exposing his limited knowledge of the professional boxing world,” Froch said in a video on his YouTube channel.
'Ariel, keep your mouth shut because you don't know anything about the Cobra's career…Stick to MMA journalism…Anything you say about Jake Paul and fighting fighters like me or Tony Bellew and we are looking for a payday…I've said on numerous occasions that I will fight him for a good cause,” Froch continued.
Tony Bellew also hits back at Ariel Helwani for his comments
'The Cobra' Froch isn't the only one to hit back at Helwani for his comments on the Jake Paul saga, as former WBC cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew also hit back at the journalist.
'Bomber' Bellew was present at one of the press conferences between Paul and Tyson, and he got on the microphone and berated 'The Problem Child' for choosing 'Iron Mike' as his opponent.
'Ariel, don't call me! I didn't ask to fight him once. I came there with a great-grandfather who made fun of what he did,” Bellew began hitting back in response to X.
“Don't compare me to people who call him names, because I just don't do that! You should also stop comparing his numbers to those of a boxer! It's not boxing fans that show up, it's kids and people who have no respect for boxing! The man hit a 58-year-old grandfather!” continued the Brit.
Ariel, don't call me! I didn't ask to fight him once. I came there with a great grandfather who made fun of what he did!! It was actually hilarious! Don't compare me to people who call him out, because I just don't do that! You need to stop comparing his numbers to a…

It is unclear who Paul's next in-ring opponent will be, but he has since been called up by several professional champions, including Artur Beterbiev.
