Barcelona believe Serie A winger for next summer is more economically viable than Jorge Mendes option
Barcelona are still looking for a top-class left winger next summer after missing out on Nico Williams in the last transfer window. Two of the names linked to this description are Serie A stars Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Rafael Leao.
The former is currently in a contract dispute with Napoli and is likely to cost at least €80 million next summer, but would involve a negotiation with owner Aurelio de Laurentiis, who is notoriously difficult to do business with. However, Sport say he is seen as a more viable option than AC Milan's Leao, who is not currently on the best terms with manager Paulo Sousa.
The Catalan daily notes that both would like to join the Blaugrana, but that Kvaratskhelia would be more economically viable due to his salary demands, and that he also has an advantage because he is the younger of the two. Leao was linked with a move last summer, but Milan reportedly demanded more than 150 million euros.
