Real Madrid's favorites to sign Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen and hope to complete the deal on time for the club of Club.
Madrid made contact with Bournemouth on Wednesday and there are discussions underway between the clubs. Personal conditions are also negotiated.
A number of Premier League clubs have asked to be kept informed of developments around Huijsen, which is supposed to have a release clause of £ 50 million in his contract, including Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool.
Until now, no club had contacted Bournemouth to let them know that they are willing to pay the release clause, but Real have taken the first step and is supposed to be willing to pay it.
The dialogue will continue between the two parties, but the fact that Madrid made contact would suggest that Huijsen took a decision about his move this summer.
The other clubs at the table, some of which are willing to activate the release clause of the Center-Back, will have to show how enthusiastic they are to sign him and that is where things can change.
Sky Sports News has previously reported that the priority of Huijsen would be Real Madrid.
It is thought that no fewer than five Premier League parties have had conversations with his agents, as well as clubs from Laliga and the Bundesliga, about a potential package to sign him this summer.
The representatives of Huijsen have a very good relationship with Chelsea, which have other centrilos, including Crystal Palace Captain – and graduated Blues Academy – Marc Guehi, Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite and Jorrel Hato from Ajax.
Sky Sports News reported at the beginning of this month that Chelsea seriously considered making an Ajax offer for Hato.
How huijsen deserved controversial vaulters
Analysis of Sky Sports Reporter Mark Mcadam:
It was a transfer that went under the radar in the summer of 2024. But less than 12 months later, £ 12 million was £ 50 million.
At the back of July, before the window had even started working, Bournemouth drew a young 19-year-old defender of Juventus. That man was Dean Huijsen.
One performance for 'The Old Lady' and 13 for Roma in 2023/24 did not say that he was the next best, but now he is real.
Bournemouth clearly saw something that others did not do. They had faith, a plan and their recent recruitment suggests that they can spot the special sauce. And Huijsen is of quality.
It is no secret that Huijsen's £ 50 million release clause will be activated by someone this summer, but with a large number of large batters who are all willing to pay it, Huijsen will have his choice, and according to the media he can literally go everywhere.
From Real Madrid to Liverpool, Newcastle to Barcelona, the queue to get him, goes back to the block and back.
But like most players when they talk about their future, he would not be attracted to these links.
Huijsen sat down on the fresh grass in the new performance center of the club and apparently in a relaxed mood, said: “I am very calm. I am not really concentrating on it, now it is not the time. I am simply focused on finishing the season well.
“My father is my agent, he repairs everything, I don't read anything, I don't think too much about it, I just concentrate on my football and work hard.”
Huijsen was also cautious in the rumor clause. “I am just aimed at writing history at this club,” he says with a smile – and I believe him.
