The first man to go the distance with Alex Pereira in MMA is no longer in the UFC.
Once a 22-6 middle weight with back-to-back KO bonuses, the UFC career of Bruno Silva never looked the same after fighting against the former two-division champion Pereira in 2022.
Silva went 3-0 in the Octagon with all the knockouts before he lost seven from his next eight fights.
After running the middleweight glove and a loss at UFC 315 on the weekend for four years, Silva's time has reached its end in the UFC.

Silva suffered the worst loss of his career at UFC 315 on Saturday, where he lost through the first round of TKO to Marc-André Barriault
The Canadian Barriault has visibly dented Silva's skull with his elbows, leaving his opponent unconscious for a few minutes.
Silva was performed on a stretcher and admitted to the hospital. After he was released from the hospital the same night, Silva told his fans that it was good with a post-fighting health update.
Bruno Silva is the only middle weight that goes away with Alex Pereira
Silva fought Alex Pereira in 'Patan's' second UFC appearance. Silva stood toe-toe with Pereira in the smaller UFC Apex and was not fallen once. After Pereira lost his MMA debut, none of his opponents had survived two rounds with the former kickbokkkampioen, let alone three.
Silva was impressed by the decision of the jury members, a performance that has not achieved any other middleweight in the UFC. Silva lost all three rounds through unanimous decision. The only other hunters who go the distance with Pereira are the current champion Magomed Ankalaev and former champion Jan Bachowicz in light heavyweight.
After Pereira, 'Blindado' did not only lose someone in the UFC.
Silva fought people as former champion Chris Weidman, top candidate Brendan Allen and a 11-0 Shara 'Bullet' Magomedov.
Three of Silva's four Ko victories ended with a $ 50,000 bonus.
Silva broke remaining competition brad Tavares and 'The Ultimate Fighter 23' winner Andrew Sanchez together with Jordan Wright and Wellington Turman during his UFC official period.
