Real Madrid is almost the completion of a deal to sign Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen.
The 20-year-old is one of Europe's most sought after players and high-profile clubs, including Chelsea, Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Liverpool, have tried to realize him after an impressive Premier League campaign.
The Spanish international has a release clause of £ 50 million in his contract and Real Madrid is supposed to be willing to pay it.
The representatives of Huijsen are in the Spanish capital to close the deal with Madrid, who, according to Fabrizio Romano, will pay the £ 50 million clause in three episodes, while a five -year contract is being discussed.
A maximum of five Premier League teams and clubs from Laliga and the Bundesliga have had conversations with his agents, but Madrid is considered the priority of the young defender.
Born in the Netherlands, he represented them at youth level before switching to the European champions last year.
After coming to Bournemouth from Juventus last summer for £ 12 million, Huijsen initially played a back-up for Marcos Senesi and Illia Zabarnyi before he got his chance in the starting line-up and grab it with both hands.
He has played 34 times in all matches this season and the cherries seem to resign when losing their star defender this summer.
In the meantime, Bournemouth has been busy looking for another defensive jewel to fill the void and has asked for 6ft 3ins Nathan Zeze van Nantes, which is covered by France at the age of 21.
Madrid is looking for reinforcements after a disappointing season in which they want to lose the Liga title to Barcelona.
The men of Carlo Ancelotti also lost the Copa del Rey final of their Clasico rivals and were dumped by Arsenal from the Champions League in the quarterfinals.
Huijsen could be one of the first signing sessions of Xabi Alonso as Madrid -Baas when he takes over at the end of the season of Ancelotti.
But his old youth coach Juan Gutierrez, who was in Malaga when Huijsen became a member of the age of 10, warned him of a move to Los Blancos where his playing time would decrease dramatically.
“Dean becomes a leader, regardless of where he is going, so I hope that the person who signs him, they play him as a starter, and he is not a project for the future,” said Gutierrez.
“He is now a player. There are few at his age, so I do not know to what extent it would be a good option to really sign.
'Nobody can guarantee that you will play because of your beautiful face, but if he leaves Bournemouth, it should not be to sit on the couch.
