Nike quickly had to remove a social media post that apparently leaked the new home kit from Chelsea for the 2025/26 season.
The blues still have to officially announce what their new comic will look like for the following season, but fans caught a quick glimpse of what they can expect thanks to Nike's Faux Pas.
Chelsea has already plagued the announcement of their new kit on Instagram, which suggests that the official unveiling will take place on Friday.
But Nike jumped on the gun when they placed a photo of the shirt next to the caption: “Charged in electric blue. Cut in brilliant white. Worn with West London pride.”
The kit production Goliaths clearly realized their mistake and quickly removed the post afterwards.
The new shirt keeps the classic blue color of Chelsea with a unique pattern and a flash of white details on a collar with V-neck.
Noticeably there is no sponsor on the shirt for next season, while the Stamford Bridge club continues to look for a long-lasting front of the shirt sponsor.
The SW6 outfit announced last month that Emirati Property Gianty Damac would sponsor their current kit until the end of the season after they went without a sponsor for most of the campaign.
In that partnership, the club will also collaborate with Damac to build 1,400 luxury football theme apartments in Dubai – but the real estate company will still not adorn the front of Chelsea's shirts next season.
Since the arrival of Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital in West London, Chelsea has not signed a long-term shirt sponsorship agreement with any company.
It is thought that the club maintains more lucrative offers when they secure a return to Champions League football – a huge temptation for interested companies.
Despite Nike's best efforts to get the kit early, Chelsea fans will have to wait for the official announcement of their new kit.
In the meantime, London Rivals Arsenal today launched their new home kit for the upcoming campaign with kit providers Adidas.
The Gunners, of whom the new threads against Newcastle United are expected to wear on Sunday, have unveiled a typically stylish red and white shirt with a complicated detail with the font used in the old Victoria Concrescit -Badge of the club from the 1900s.
