‘He simply isn’t at a point…’ UFC legend outlines the one condition why he thinks Jon Jones will fight Tom Aspinall

A former opponent says that UFC Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones is unable to hang the gloves on fighting Tom Aspinall.

The conversation of the mixed martial arts city remains the heavyweight title photo and the cloud of uncertainty that has been floating about it for a long time.

Two title holders are currently rule, but only one of them has given the green light for their unification confrontation. Although the interim champion has long been willing to fight, Jones is not interested in Aspinall.

Since beating Stipe Miocic to defend his gold last November, many have predicted a retirement for 'bones'. That is even despite Dana White that Jones versus Aspinall will perform.

Although he may not be in the majority, one of the ancient rivals of Jones believes the UFC CEO.

Chael Sonnen believes that Jon Jones will fight against Tom Aspinall because he has not earned 'Walk-Away money'

Former two-division UFC title Challenger Chael Sonnen is often present to give his view of the big events in the UFC, and that has been the case during the heavyweight Titelsaga.

In his most recent YouTube video about this, 'The Bad Guy' rejected the constant rumors that Jones retired by suggesting that the MMA Goat candidate has not yet been established financially.

“They keep asking about Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall,” Sonen said about his media tour to promote the ultimate hunter. “Everyone who has asked the question preceded it from the standing point that Jon Jones holds this fight and refuses to fight Tom Aspinall.

“We don't have that evidence … I don't buy it. There are no two options for Jon Jones,” Sonen continued. “Jon Jones is offered a fight with Tom or he can't fight at all. If you are a price feed, choosing not to fight you do not properly negotiate, it makes you unemployed.

“Jon Jones did a great job, but Jon Jones did not earn a walk-away money. He is simply not at a point in his life or career that he walks away.”

Jon Jones uncertainty sees Tom Aspinall unwanted record

The current situation has undoubtedly proved frustrating for Aspinall, whose forced inactivity since the interim title against Curtis Blaydes last summer led to an undesirable UFC record.

Aspinall became the longest reigning interim champion in UFC history at the end of last month. His time with the belt exceeded the previous record of 534 days that Renan Barao determined more than ten years ago.

As expected, the resident of Manchester was less than excited when tackling the plate during a YouTube video next to flying weight -legend Demetrious Johnson.

“No, I'm not that proud of that, to be honest,” said Aspinall. “The provisional title is fun, but the longest ruling reigning?

“I clearly wanted to compete for the undisputed in the time I have been in the meantime.”

Aspinall will hope that his long -term regime as an interim champion will come to an end rather than later – and in the form of an undisputed title that is awarded at the expense of Jones.
