Kulusevski set for months out, confirms Postecoglou

Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that Dejan Kulusevski will be out for a few months in a huge blow to the Euroopa League Final Preparation from Tottenham.

Kulusevski took a blow to his knee during the 2-0 Premier League defeat on Sunday against Crystal Palace and was replaced after only 19 minutes.

On Wednesday, Spurs confirmed that the Sweden International had undergone an operation, although he had no longer assumed him from the final of the following week against Manchester United in Bilbao.

However, Postecoglou said that the clash of Spurs with Aston Villa was confronted with Aston Villa on the sidelines.

“Clearly disappointing news. Initially we thought it wasn't that serious,” he said.

“It was a bit blown up the day after and we knew there was a problem.

“He has undergone the operation, which will release him for at least a few months.”

Kulusevski has made 50 performances this season in all competitions, with 35 of them that start. He played a total of 3,449 minutes and registered 10 goals and 11 assists.

Only Dominic Solanke (23), son Heung-Min and James Maddison (both 22) have improved Kulusevsky's total of 21 target statements for Spurs this campaign.

Kulusevski is not the only injury problems for Spurs prior to the final of next week, with Maddison and Lucas Bergvall also excluded.
