UFC Lightweight Competier Benoit Saint-Denis knows what he then wants, and a confrontation with Justin Gaethje is one of the leading options.
France's best lightweight is on a mission. After the submission of Saint-Denis on UFC 315, the no. 13-ranged man with 155 pounds wants a piece of the top names in the division.
'God of War' has previously had his push -up the ladder that was stuck by the top 10 competition. Saint-Denis suffered from Dustin Poirier and Renato Moicano in 2024.
Although his first victory since those setbacks against a UFC newcomer came to Kyle Prepolec, Saint-Denis apparently still believes that he earns another chance against one of the best.

During an appearance at the Ariel Helwani show, Saint-Denis thought about his successful trip to the cage in Montreal and focused his focus on what had awaited us.
The French highlight was prepared with three names when it comes to his next matchup. Saint-Denis pointed to his feud with Mateusz Gamrot, and emphasized the exciting nature of potential collisions with both Gaethje and Dan hooker.
“I am focused on a few boys,” said Saint-Denis. “I have many callouts from Gamrot. Hooker and Gaethje are also guys who responded a lot during my last fighting last year.
“It seems that the hooker fight will be a violent fight, like the [Joel] Alvarez should have been a fight [at UFC 315]. I would enjoy it a lot; The Gaethje clears clearly too, and also Gamrot. '
Justin Gaethje has rejected Benoit Saint-Denis's callouts in the past
When it comes to ordering those options in terms of realism, some comments from Gaethje's past might indicate him as the least likely opponent for 'God of War'.
While he spoke with Kevin Iole in January 2024 in January 2024 after another top five candidate in Poirier agreed to face the Frenchman, Gaethje explained why it would not have been smart of him to do the same.
“I think it's great that he called me, but I am number 2 at the point of a championship fight,” said Gaethje. “If he was in my position, he would know that the stupidest thing I could do is fight like a fight.
“Not that I don't want that. Does that fight sound nice to me? Absolutely. But this is a company, and luckily I am not the man who makes those choices because I would never be here. I would have fought every fight.”
Not much has changed since those comments. While Gaethje has remained at number 3, Saint-Denis remains outside the top 10 of the division after his two setbacks in 2024.
With that in mind, the recording of Gaethje on the Frenchman's Hitlist is perhaps the least realistic of the three matchups.
