Mitrovic seals stunning late comeback for Al-Hilal

Al-Hilal came twice from behind to achieve a final-Gasp 4-3 victory over Al-Fateh, with the late brace of Aleksandar Mitrovic all the points secured.

Sofiane Bendebka scored twice in the first 24 minutes to give the hosts a 2-0 lead in the Al-Fateh Club Stadium, on the way to the crosses of Ahmed Al Julaydan and Hussain Qasim.

Al-Hilal fought back after the break and received their reward in the 50th minute when Nasser Al Dawsari delivered up close.

Salem Al Dawsari then drew the visitor level into the hour, but after Mitrovic hit the post shortly thereafter, Mourad Batna set Al-Fateh at the front in the 82nd minute.

Only three minutes later, Mitrovic again pulled Al-Hilal level while he nodded in the cross of Salem Al Dawsari. The former Fulham striker then found the winner in the second minute of the stop time to complete the comeback.

Al-Hilal remains second with two more games, while Al-Fateh is on the 13th.

Elsewhere, Al-Nassr, who were without Cristiano Ronaldo, were held a 1-1 draw with Al-Taawoun later on Friday, because they could not find a late winner despite heavy pressure.

Al-Nassr dominated from the beginning and came closest to breaking the impasse shortly after half hour, with Sadio Mane who hit the woodwork.

Their pressure only paid for six minutes in the second half when Otavio nodded the hosts at the front of the release of Abdulmajeed Al Sulayhim.

Al-Taawoun turned the momentum afterwards and got their reward in the 70th minute when Roger Martinez equalized.

Al-Nassr insisted on a late winner, where Mane saw an effort of a stop time disappear from the line while staying fourth in the table.
