Ruben Amorim believed that his Manchester United team was competitive in their 1-0 defeat against Chelsea and was happy with their display prior to their Europa League final.
United was defeated on Stamford Bridge by Marc Cucurella's 71st minute head, but the visitors had their chances of taking a result against the blues.
Harry Maguire saw his first half strike excluded from VAR offside, with Mason Mount shooting after the break after the break before Amad Diallo Robert Sanchez forced into a rescue.
But the Red Devils could only generate only 0.4 from their five attempts (XG) in total because their Premier League -exciting to a different low point.
Indeed, this was United's 18th League defeat, their most in a campaign since losing 20 in 1973-74, the last season in which they were banned.
They also went eight league games without a victory (D2 L6) for the first time since a stretch of 11 games between December 1989 and February 1990.
It was the second run of Amorim to lose three consecutive Premier League matches since he was in charge of United, a series of three consecutive defeats less than Alex Ferguson about his 810 games in the competition (three).
0.92 – Ruben Amorim has won 24 points in 26 Premier League matches, a points per game ratio of 0.92. This is lower than the Premier League points of Paul Jewell per match (0.94), who managed 24 profit-free matches at Derby when they finished on 11 points in 2007-08. Re. pic.twitter.com/NCNV2WHUF6

However, the United Boss was in a surprisingly positive mood for their seasonal Europe League final against Tottenham next Wednesday.
“I think we started great, well, but in the last third we had to be a little more aggressive. We were there, we confronted the game in the right way,” Amorim said.
“It was a bit of bad luck today. Sometimes we want to print and score a goal, but we lost a little concentration.
“It was different, but you never like it when you lose the game. We were competitive, that was clear.
“We have to prepare for every competition, we can rest with five days. We have to prepare ourselves [for the Europa League final]Two days to recover and then two days to prepare.
“Eventually I looked at all the players and I think they are fine. Of course we are enthusiastic to be in the final.
“Since the first day the pressure has been there, but I live pretty well with the pressure. If you have the final of a cup, we will appear, so we are prepared for that.”
