Georges St-Pierre looked up while his teammate withdrew a legend of the sport at UFC 315.
A Bantam weight trained by Tristar was one of the striking artists during Saturday's pay-per-view event in Montreal, when Aiemann Zahabi Jose Aldo defeated in the biggest victory of his career to date.
The three-round match was a narrow affair and asked for success for the Brazilian legend in round three looked to set him up for a second victory since she returned from retirement.
But after Aldo was unable to hurt Zahabi, the Home Fighter stated the dominant control on the ground.
And with the help of a prominent teammate in St-Pierre, the Canadian certainly made the most out of the position.

Days after a victory that left him only one place outside the Bantamweight Top 10, Zahabi shared statues of St-Pierre's corner work on X.
St-Pierre apparently came into the spirit of things when he threw fake elbows in the corner and demonstrated how his fellow Canadian could finish the fight strongly.
“Fans roared so hard that I couldn't hear my corner, so they showed me the way!” Zahabi wrote in the caption.

Jose Aldo retired after he was lost to Aiemann Zahabi on UFC 315
St-Pierre's advice helped Zahabi in obtaining his sixth consecutive victory in the UFC. For Aldo it apparently contributed to his last hurray.
Aldo fell to a 1-2 record in his comeback stint about the three fights in his comeback stint, and suggested that another pension is in his future while he spoke with Daniel Cormier in the cage on UFC 315.
“I don't think I have it more in me,” Aldo said through an interpreter.
“This was a very tough week that I felt I didn't have it in me.”
Vechtweek turned out to be difficult for the legendary featherweight. Aldo's weight struggle resulted in the competition in which Zahabi was moved 10 pounds on Weighing Day.
After one retirement returned to the cage, it is still to be seen whether Aldo's newest claim to hang the gloves will hang.
