Real Madrid interested in breakout Bundesliga star to strengthen midfield
Real Madrid may look to strengthen their midfield next summer to fill the void left by Toni Kroos this year. One of the talents they have seen is Hugo Larsson from Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 20-year-old midfielder is in good form for Eintracht, currently Bayern Munich's strongest challengers in the Bundesliga. SkySports DE (via Diario AS) say Real Madrid are among the teams scouting the Swedish talent, amid rumors of interest from Manchester United and Arsenal. His price tag is said to be around €50 million.
Furthermore, Real Madrid had already identified Larsson as a player to watch. Since playing under-19s for Malmö, where he moved for nine million euros two summers ago, there have been positive scouting reports.
Larsson has started all but four of Eintracht's games this season, scoring four goals and an assist in his 19 appearances. That is despite playing from the deepest position in midfield, showing the ability to also get into the box with a late run. Los Blancos have recently turned to Luka Modric and Dani Ceballos in midfield, partly due to injuries, but also in an attempt to gain more control in the center of the pitch.
