It was not long before controversy struck at UFC Vegas 106.
Hyun Sung Park returned from a discharge of 17 months to get the first finish of the map on Saturday.
Then Strawweight Kunsters Denise Gomes and Elise squared squared at the UFC Apex.
It was a one-sided affair that ended with a second round knockout that made MMA fans angry.

Only 20 seconds in round two, Gomes connected with a huge over -hand right to score a heavy knockdown.
Reed tried to get up again, but took several punches on the face before she fell as soon as she succeeded in rising from the floor.
UFC commentator Michael Bisping immediately started screaming 'She's Done', but referee Jason Herzog did not agree.
The veteran party officer let Gomes strike a lot of annoying soil before they finally wave things away.

Those who watched at home were quick to express their displeasure at the Gomes vs Reed -stop.
“Jason Herzog Legit the worst referee in MMA Nu Lmao,” smoked a fan. While another asked: “Is Elise Reed owed Jason Herzog -money due because she has made about 10 shots there?”
“When she dies, she dies. Come on ref,” someone else said.
“A bit of an early break when I'm completely honest,” a fourth fan joked.
“A terribly late break. Absolutely horrible,” noted another X user.
“That was a terrible stoppage. Jason Herzog may have just ended the career of Reed,” wrote a sixth fan.
