Manchester United fan Elisabeth Terland of children says that winning a trophy for the club that she grew up would mean 'that little extra'.
Holders United faces Chelsea on Wembley on Sunday afternoon, knowing that they have a long order in stopping the dominant WSL champions of Sonia Bompastor to complete a domestic treble.
But they will have faith in striker Terland, who came from Brighton at the start of the campaign and scored 12 goals in all competitions, to help them go all the way and to lift a second consecutive FA Cup trophy.
'It has been a good season at a new club. It always takes time when you become a member of a new team to build relationships, build connections, and time always helps in that sense, “the 23-year-old Norway International told Mail Sport.
'It is a team and a club that really suits me, how I play and whatever I want to do, so it fits well that way. I'm hungry for more.
'I want to win things with this team and it means playing a little extra for a badge that you have always supported. I will always do my hundred percent to be able to do that. '
United, who only participated in the top division for six seasons, appear in their third consecutive FA Cup final. They lost Chelsea's opponents in the 2023 final, before they claimed their first piece of silverware with a 4-0 win over Spurs in Wembley last year.
Terland added that the team would like to get 'revenge' against the blues, which they have beaten twice in the competition this season.
'We have lost both our games against them this season on two set pieces, a penalty and a corner. I think that especially the last game we played against them (in the competition), we showed that we deserved more than a loss of that game.
“I think we are confident that we are going inside and make a really good game out of it, and we want revenge.”
Regarding Terland, this afternoon could bring her first major trophy.
'The girls talked about the final last year and that is of course something you want to do yourself. I'm really excited. '
Tickets for Sunday's final are sold out.
