Chelsea cult hero, 46, looks unrecognisable as he finds creative way to watch team after ban

Damien Duff looked unrecognizable when he found an ingenious way to see his Shelbourne side playing.

The former Chelsea and Fulham star now manages the League of Ireland Premier Division.

Duff, 46, was exiled for the Friday night trip from Shelbourne to TitelkandaDates Boheemian.

He took a suspension after he was shown his fifth booking during the victory over St Patrick's Athletic last week.

But this did not stop him from finding a way to see his side play.

The retired wing player was depicted on a hill overlooking Dalymount Park.

He had disguised himself with a face cladding and a CAP combination.

However, some fans saw him through the facade, but found his actions brilliant.

A posted: “Interesting point of view for Damien Duff in Dalymount Park.”

A second wrote: “Possibly my favorite LOI photo of all time. Damien Duff who serves his touchline ban during the visit of Shelbourne to Dalymount Park to compete against Bohemians.”

A third joke: “Damien Duff in the Ghillie suit.”

A fourth noted: “Al iconic.”

A fifth said, “Spring manager, on a hill.”

Another added: “Say what you like about him, but this guy is brilliant entertainment.”

Duff would not have been happy on full-time because his Shelbourne side lost 1-0 because of a Dayle Rooney penalty.

He also had to look while the team was reduced to only nine players when Mark Coyle and Alistair Coote were sent away.
