Arne Slot says it is more difficult to motivate Liverpool, after he has already packed the Premier League title, with a trip to Brighton on Monday.
The Reds completed the league title at the end of April, but have since seen their form, with 3-1 lost to Chelsea before giving a 2-0 lead to sign 10-man Arsenal last weekend.
However, this season they want to add to their impressive road shape – despite losing two of their last three games on the road, a goal against Brighton will mean that they have scored this period.
Slot gave his players extra free time before this game, where the team drove to Dubai while he was in Spain, and although he believes that this will benefit them, he acknowledged that it is completed with their goal, it is harder to retain their motivation.
“I think it is honest answer yes [it is difficult to motivate players]”Said Slot.” Although I can't look into all their heads.
“I think the honest answer is that there is a difference, but when I look at the way we played the Arsenal game, I saw a team that wanted to compete against Arsenal from the first second to the last.
“It doesn't matter if you have won the competition; if you play Chelsea away, Arsenal at home and Brighton, these are difficult games to play. That is why I was so happy that we were already clear enough points to win the title against Tottenham.”

In the meantime, Brighton knows that the eighth place could still be enough to play in the Europa Conference League next season, depending on factors such as the result of Chelsea in the final of that competition.
The seagulls, which are level at points with eighth placed Brentford, regained their rhythm after a light wobble in March and April, and are undefeated in their last three games, while they have only lost one of their last seven Premier League home matches (W4 D2).
Fabian Hurzeler is stimulated by injuries for the run-in, with some important players again contrary to Monday.
“Lewis [Dunk] Is back in the team, “he said.” Joel [Veltman] Will be back in the team. It is all very positive news.
“Kaoru [Mitoma] Had some small problems, so hopefully he will be a possibility for us in the team. Igor is certainly also part of the team. In general it is very positive and we have more options. “
Players to watch
Brighton – Danny Welbeck
Danny Welbeck enjoys his best goal season ever in the Premier League, with double digits in the competition (10) for the first time.
He has been involved in four goals in his last five Premier League performances against Liverpool (two goals, two assists).

Liverpool – Mohamed Salah
Mohamed Salah could make his 300th Premier League appearance in this competition. He would just be the fourth African player who reaches this milestone.
This season he scored 16 away in the Premier League, the joint-mest in one campaign in the history of the competition (level with Harry Kane in 2022-23 and Kevin Phillips in 1999-00).
Match -Forecast: Draw
After lost four of their first five Premier League matches against Liverpool (D1), Brighton is now unbeaten in their last two against the Reds at the Amex Stadium in the competition.
However, Liverpool has won their last two Premier League matches against Brighton, after they have won only one of their previous seven against the Seagulls in advance (D4 L2).
A goal in this match will only be the ninth side to score in 100% of their away games in an English top-flight season (something the Reds have never achieved before).
They have not lost their final-road match in one of the last six campaigns (W4 D2) since a 1-0 loss for Chelsea in 2017-18. Their last two have seen a total of 14 goals-a 4-4 draw with Southampton in 2022-23 and a 3-3 stalemate with Aston Villa last season.
Brighton lost 2-0 to Manchester United in their last Home League match of 2023-24, but has not done this in successive campaigns since a series of three between 2005-06 and 2007-08.
Opta wins probability
Brighton – 36.8%
Drawing – 24.7%
Liverpool – 38.5%
