Ruben Amorim hopes to put an end
Manchester United has set two lists with transfer goals for next season – one if they earn a £ 100 million jackpot by winning the Europa League on Wednesday evening and another who will invoice a season without Europe.
The men of Ruben Amorim will go to Bilbao this week in the hope of beating the Premier League rivals Tottenham in an attempt to end their disastrous season with silverware, while they also catapult themselves in the Champions League.
United, however, is in poor form in the final, after he has lost five of their last six games in the Premier League and manager Amorim has even wondered if he is the right man to help the team move forward.
But if United is successful in beating traces in the showpiece, Amorim will have a much larger budget as part of the Lucrative TV money offered by Competing in Europe's Elite competition.
Both transfer of the club's transfer lists have been compiled to put together a team that will be able to deliver the tactical vision of Amorim – which has not been created so far after 13 defeats in 26 games under the Portuguese boss.
There have been some worries that Amorim can walk in the team at the end of the season after his brutal comments about the fortunes of the clubs.
He claimed noticeable that his side was “the worst team in the history of Manchester United” and also said that he “embarrassed himself” about their situation and that they “felt they were a massive club”.
It is understood that United Amorim will not fire, even if he loses the Europa League final. There is a feeling that it would be madness to tag him after a tax campaign that will fall as the worst in the legendary history of United.
Instead, they will give him the time to further implement his 3-4-3 system and add more quality to the team. Liam Delap, Antoine Semenyo and Jonathan David are just a few of the names that are linked to a move to Old Trafford.
But first they have the chance to add some positivity to a miserable season when they fly to Spain this week. United warmed up for their seasonal clash against Tottenham with a 1-0 loss for Chelsea and would like to play a full silk with Amorim to ensure that his players are sharp in the final.
Amorim has sat that winning the trophy will not save their campaign and believes that his team will have to do in the future in the future.
He said: “Europa League will not change anything in our problems – it will help us to have Champions League next year, more money to spend, but the problems are still there.
“We have to change the thoughts of our fans with consistency, good decisions, good recruitment, a good academy. This is what we have to change to bring this club back to the top. This is more a shortcut to go to European games. Nothing anymore.”
