Sonia Bompastor believed that Chelsea's FA Cup victory on Manchester United would see the team become “part of history”.
Bompastor watched while Sandy Baltimore scored on either side of the 84th minute strike by Catarina Macario to seal a 3-0 win over the Red Devils in Wembley Stadium on Sunday.
Chelsea was indeed the first Super League team for ladies that completed a domestic Treble on two different occasions, after he had also done this in the 2020-21 campaign.
It ended a dream first season for Bompastor, who replaced Emma Hayes in May last year.
The 44-year-old led the blues to the WSL title, became unbeaten during the competition season, and lifted the League Cup against Manchester City in March.
“The players really deserve it [to celebrate]. To reach a Treble in England, it is difficult to find the right words to describe that, “said Bompastor about the performance of her team.
“It means a lot. I always say that I want to make sure that I want me to be a manager in every club that we have good values, the right values, and I want my players to really enjoy it.
“We worked hard all season. It was not easy and to achieve that will be part of history.”

Bompastor also became the first non-British manager who won the FA Cup since Spaniard Pedro Martinez Losa, who stopped the trophy with Arsenal in 2016.
She has now won all five of her domestic finals as a manager (two with Chelsea, three with Lyon).
And the blues deserved their victory and ended the game with an expected goals (XG) a total of 2.57 of their 13 shots to United's Miester 0.37 of their five attempts.
Macario described her goal under the Wembley arch as “The Cherry on the Cake” to a perfect season.
“It is a trophy that we always wanted to win. We wanted to win a Treble. It has been a difficult season for me personally, so it's a special day to be at Wembley,” said Macario.
“It's a very emotional day. I think it's a unique opportunity to play at Wembley and score in a final, in such an important game, it brings a lot of emotion.
“It was the icing on the cake before the end of the season. Playing for Chelsea, we want to win everything.
“It is a lot of pressure when you play in a huge game like this, but we have this winning mentality.
“We have been here before and we know what to do to win. That's what we did today.”
