Harry Kane says it was like a “Switch went out” on his emotions when the title of Bayern Munich was confirmed because he won the first big trophy of his career.
Kane's long waiting time for a team trophy was well documented when he lost two EFL Cup finals and the 2018-19 Champions League Pronunter with Tottenham, while he also handed England because they finished second at Euro 2020 and 2024.
In his first season in Germany, Bayern missed the Bundesliga title of the unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen, who ended the 11-year series of the Bavarian termination of the top of the competition.
Bayern, however, took the title with two more games on May 4, while the 2-2 draw of Leverkusen in Freiburg handed them the Meisterschale.
“It was almost as if a switch went, and suddenly it was just a lot of emotion, a lot of joy,” he said BBC Sport.
“We had a great evening that evening. Of course I am the one in the spotlight because of my journey.
“But my journey is not only myself. It is with many of my family, many of my friends who have been to me.
“They have been there for the ups and downs. They share the same emotion that I do, so it was nice to share the field and the moment with them.
“[The trophy parade] Was a great experience to be honest. “
“Of course I have seen these kinds of parties from far, but until you experience it yourself, it is difficult to put into words.”
Kane also secured the Golden Boot for the second season that is running after scoring his 26th league goal of the campaign in Bayern's 4-0 win over Hoffenheim on the last day.
He is the first player in the history of Bundesliga to be crowned top scorer in the first two seasons in the competition.
He is also only the second player who wins the prize in back-to-back campaigns since the turn of the century, after Robert Lewandowski enjoyed a series of five consecutive seasons at the top of the charts.
“I enjoy everyone [Golden Boot]”Said Kane, with this being fifth in general throughout England and Germany.
“I think this is even more special because we also won the title with it.
“It is clear that I have won a few in my career, and you can never really celebrate that, because you will always be disappointed that the season is not complete the way you wanted.
“So yes, to have that, plus the title, was just a perfect way to end the season.”
