14-year-old Gabriel could become Man Utd’s youngest-ever first-team player

According to The Sun, Manchester United Insiders believe that 14-year-old attacker Gabriel could break the record of the club as the youngest debutant of the first team ever. He will not be 15 to October, but his versions have already become a hot topic at Old Trafford and beyond.

The current record is held by goalkeeper David Gaskell, who made his debut in 16 years and 19 days old in 1956. However, Gabriel is considered such a special talent that he believes that he could even debut earlier – possibly in a cup match next season.

Despite United's efforts to keep his progress calm, Gabriel has already noticed in U18 competitions. In a 13-1 win over Leeds U18, he scored twice in just 25 minutes, and also scored in a 4-0 win over Stoke U18. He also represented England U15 and recently signed a long -term sponsorship agreement with Nike.

Ironically, Gabriel was discovered by Top Scout Dave Harrison – who was recently released by the club.

Manager Rúben Amorim is reportedly open to give young people a chance. He has already handed over opportunities to 17-year-old Omari Forson, 18-year-old Ayden Heaven and Harry Amass. Omari made his debut in a 0-1 loss against Tottenham in February and has since played in both the Premier League and FA Cup. Amass can now be seen in five of the last nine league matches of United and twice in the Europa League, allowing them to reach the final.

If Gabriel appears in the Premier League next season, he could break the youngest debutant record of the competition, currently in the hands of the Ethan Nwaneri of Arsenal, who debuted in September 2022 at 15 years and 181 days.
