UFC Legend TJ Dillashaw called Aljamain Sterling's striking 'Pure Garbage' years after their UFC 280 collision.
Former UFC Bantamweight champions Aljamain Sterling and TJ Dillashaw are years away from their title fight on UFC 280, but that has not prevented the former rivals from ruleing their feud.
Sterling defeated Dillashaw van TKO in the UFC 280 Co-Main event to retain the Bantamweight championship and push back the former king of the division. Dillashaw returned after having contracted a filthy leg injury halfway through his split victory in Cory Sandhagen in 2021, who marked his comeback after a two -year suspension of USADA.
Despite the ending of Dillashaw with brutal ground-and-pound when they met in the Octagon, Dillashaw remains negative about the striking competence of Sterling.

Aljamain Sterling refers to the recent comments from TJ Dillashaw about UFC 280 Fight
During a recent performance on the Jaxxon Podcast, Dillashaw thought about the loss against Sterling and gave a hard assessment of his former rival.
“I fought against a man I felt like I could still beat with the arm I had,” Dillashaw said about Sterling.
“I felt that I could have turned it off. Yes, [with one arm].
“His striking is complete waste.” (H/t Bjpenn)
Sterling's struggling, and not his striking, has been his fighting 'bread and butter' during his career. But Sterling has improved dramatically in recent years, especially for his confrontation with Dillashaw on UFC 280.
After Dillashaw's comments had gone viral, it didn't take long before Sterling had knowledge because he responded in a recent message about X.
“Respect for TJ, but 3 extra arms would not change that fighting result. I was bigger and better,” Sterling replied.
“What appears as” waste “is not the same until we step there and you see first -hand how I have defeated so many guys.”
After a follower had interrogated the Dillashaw ego, Sterling unveiled the blind spot that the former title holder entered the Octagon with UFC 280.
“It is clearly a meaningful victory. He thought legitimate that he would win and thought he would eliminate me. Entone. He just didn't know he was out of his competition. And that is the mistake he made,” Sterling said.
Dillashaw announced his retirement shortly after the loss against Sterling on UFC 280, after a catastrophic shoulder injury in the matchup. Although Dillashaw has plagued a potential comeback in recent years, it is unlikely that the UFC legend will return to the Octagon because of his checkered medical history.
