An Arsenal star will undergo an ankle operation after a decision by the medical staff of the club.
The player has managed fitness problems in recent weeks and cannot be seen in the last three league matches.
As a result, it has now been decided that the player will undergo a procedure, with his return date currently unknown.
The news is not a big blow to this season, where Arsenal has only left one match this season in which they are being removed opposite Southampton.
The Mikel Arteta team insured their place in next season's Champions League with a 1-0 win at home on Newcastle on Sunday.
Arsenal, however, will hope that the player will not come out for long.
As reported by De Telegraaf, Jurrien Timber will undergo an ankle procedure.
The defender was not included in the team against Newcastle and was an unused replacement for the previous match against Liverpool. Timber's last performance came in the second stage of the semi-final of the Champions League against PSG in which he played for 83 minutes.
Timber can be seen prominently for Arsenal this season and appears 48 performances in all competitions.
Now that Ben White now builds up momentum after his own injury is struggling, wood can now undergo surgery.
After he had been at Ajax at Ajax in 2023, Timber missed the majority of his first campaign with the Gunners after a front cruciate ligament injury on his Premier League debut against Nottingham Forest.
Arsenal has struggled with many injuries this season, with people like Bukayo Saka, White, Gabriel Jesus, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kai Havertz all publish long spells on the sidelines.
The Gunners will be happy to have wood available for the preseason, when the Arteta team will start their preparations to go one step further and win the Premier League title.
Jesus, Tomiyasu and Gabriel Magalhaes remain sidelined, while William Saliba sustained a hamstring injury against Newcastle.
Wood can be doubtful for the qualifications of Dutch World Cup road to Finland and at home near Malta next month.
