The UFC Heavyweight Division may get what needed clarity after the great unveiling of Jon Jones.
UFC Heavyweight Champion Jones Leek Leek later this year for a collision with interim title holder Tom Aspinall, after countless hints around the Super Fight -Matchup. But things have taken a turn in recent weeks and the fight has not flourished, unlike fans worldwide.
Jones has not fought anymore since he made his first UFC heavyweight defending defense against Stipe Miocic on UFC 309 in November. After he indicated on retirement in the run -up to UFC 309, Jones turned on that attitude and seemed to focus his attention on negotiating with the UFC buyer to make the Aspinall fight.
Aspinall is the longest governing interim title holder of the UFC after months of waiting to face Jones in the Octagon for the Lineal Heavyweight Championship. While he hinted that he was in a good place in communicating with the UFC buyer with regard to the next step of the heavyweight division, the next fight by Aspinall may not take place against Jones.
