Sir Jim Ratcliffe has disturbed a few feathers during his time at Manchester United and now Red Devils icon David Beckham has sent him a few instructions for the Summer Transfer window
David Beckham would 'hate' Manchester United this summer who cashed in this summer at Kobbie Mainoo and Marcus Rashford. The Red Devils have to raise money for the upcoming window to give Ruben Amorim some freedom in the market.
That is why United made a number of stars available, while a large number of players could leave in the first team. Marcus Rashford is connected to a permanent exit after his loan spell with Aston Villa. The future of fellow academy graduated Mainoo is in the air with United who struggles him to bind him to a new deal. In the meantime, Captain Bruno Fernandes has been recommended for a switch to Spanish Giant Real Madrid.
But none of those deals would fall very well with Beckham, who encouraged Sir Jim Ratcliffe to give Baas Amorim a financial muscle on the market this summer.
“I think Ruben should absolutely be supported by bringing in the players he wants, but I don't really know how possible. I don't speak Jim so often, only from time to time. Ruben has to be supported as a manager to bring his team and his philosophy in; he is trying that, but once I try his team and his players, then you see something else.
'I would like to think that you should not sell your captain (Fernandes). He has been exceptional.
“We have all been crucial in times of some united players – but when we needed someone to perform, he did it.
“I also hate (the idea of) every young player who grew up at United who leaves the club. We should not sell players purely for financial reasons.
“It should be what they do on the field and if they don't perform, there is always a chance – we all knew that, I knew that. If I didn't perform on the field, it didn't matter what I had done in the past or what I was going to do in the future; there was a good chance that I would go on the couch on the couch, or I would be sold.”

Speaking with athletics, he added: “I would like to think that Manchester United does not sell players who grew up in the club, understand the club and love. I don't want to see players leave Manchester United if they give united like me.”
Manchester United wants to strengthen their transfer funds this week by sealing a place back in the Champions League. The Red Devils are taking on Tottenham in the Europa League final in Bilbao.
