Alex Pereira shows off the incredible mansion he has brought his parents after wild four-year journey

Alex Pereira's meteoric rise to superstardom has been nothing short of brilliant and he is now finally in a position where he can give back to his biggest supporters.

Since signing with the UFC in 2021, Alex Pereira has become one of the sport's biggest stars, holding UFC middleweight and light heavyweight golds.

However, his path to the promotion was not smooth and his life before becoming a fighter is quite well documented after fans not long ago found a Google Earth image of the Brazilian working in a tire repair shop.

'Poatan' is now considered one of the greatest fighters in the world and currently sits at number three in the UFC pound-for-pound rankings, something he recently opened up about.

This year, the 37-year-old was the most active champion in the UFC, having successfully defended his title three times and earning a well-deserved break from fighting.

During his break, the Brazilian has given back to his biggest supporters and those who have been there for him from the start: his parents.

“Photo 1, having lunch at my parents' house four years ago,” Pereira said in the post, which included a photo of him sitting on a dilapidated sofa with exposed brickwork behind him and surrounded by boxes.

“Photo 2, their house today. Thank you so much my God,” the UFC champion said as he showed off an incredible mansion.

The 37-year-old champion has previously spoken openly about his struggles throughout his life, now giving back to his parents who worked hard for him and his siblings.

While 'Poatan' made sure he gave back to his parents, he also made sure to treat himself with some luxuries since becoming a big star.

The UFC light heavyweight champion recently took part in Complex's sneaker shopping series, where famous people buy unique sneakers while telling their stories.

Before spending over $2,000 on sneakers, Pereira admitted that it is extremely unusual for him to spend that much on sneakers as he was never able to do so when he was younger.

“Well, it was very difficult (to get good sneakers when I was younger), my dad bought us a pair of shoes at the end of the year and we had to make sure they would last all year, so by the next year, we would have new shoes,” Pereira admitted.

While the 37-year-old's next title defense has yet to be confirmed, it is highly likely that it will take place against Magomed Ankalaev, despite him expressing his desire to fight heavyweight champion Jon Jones.
