Kevin De Bruyne was honored by the announcement of Manchester City that he will have built a statue outside the Etihad Stadium, after his farewell performance against Bournemouth on Tuesday.
City concluded the qualification of the Champions League with a huge 3-1 win, with Omar Marmoush, Bernardo Silva and Nico Gonzalez scoring.
Despite the enduring of a miserable defense of the Premier League title, City now knows a draw on Fulham on the last day of the season, it will certainly be enough to secure a top five finish.
After full -time, City waved goodbye to one of the greatest players in their history, with De Bruyne preparing to leave after the club chose to renew his contract.
The Belgian missed an enormous opportunity to report in style in the first half, rattle the bar with the aim gaping out of an opportunity with an expected goals (XG) value of 0.82.
But that could not put a damper on his trip, with the city of De Bruyne with a farewell ceremony and announced that he will be immortal outside the stadium, alongside former teammates Sergio Aguero, Vincent Kompany and David Silva.
“It means that I will always be part of this club,” said De Bruyne. “I always represent a small part of that.
“When I come back with these guys and with family and friends, I will be able to see myself in the stadium. I will always be there.
We will honor @Kevindebruyne's incredible decade of service to the club by using a special statue that celebrates the beautiful Etihad career of the midfielder

“We understand where the club came and why the club means a lot to many people.
“Together we have built up a great future for you, for the club for the way this club will perform.”
De Bruyne has won six Premier League titles, two FA cups, five EFL cups and the Champions League since he arrived at the Wolfsburg arrival in 2015.
Only David Silva (309) has improved the 284 Premier League performances by De Bruyne for City, while he is the second alone for Aguero (231) for total goal statements for the club in the competition (190).
The 33-year-old is also in second place in the assists-hit lists of the Premier League with 118, behind Manchester United Great Ryan Giggs (162).
By creating two chances on Tuesday, De Bruyne also moved with Cesc Fabregas for most goal scores created in the competition since OPTA started recording such data in 2003-04, with 846.
De Bruyne was part of the city team that lost 1-0 to Crystal Palace in Saturday's FA Cup final, so that for the first time since 2016-17 they will end a season without a big trophy.

But De Bruyne is sure that City will be back and says: “I know there has been a bit of a difficult year for us, but I think the team deserves all the support from you.
“I know they push very hard and this team will be back on all titles next year, so they earn this.”
