Nick Diaz was suspended for five years for a positive marijuana test
Another hunter who is universally loved by the UFC fan base and one of the biggest stars of promotion ever is Nick Diaz.
Diaz quickly became a favorite among the fans after his debut in 2003 because of his extremely unique personality and wild fighting style.
Only a few fights in his UFC official period, Diaz had already scored a viral Ko victory of future champion, Robbie Lawler, with his potential in sport.
Diaz quickly improved and left a few times with the promotion, and after a suspension of a year before the use of Marijuana, he returned to the UFC in 2011.
After a few fights and a title loss against Georges St-Pierre, Diaz made his return to take on Anderson Silva. Silva then won the fight, but the result was destroyed into a no-contest after the Brazilian had tested positively on various substances and Diaz again tested positive on Marijuana.

Ronda Rousey launched Rant defending Nick Diaz after suspension
As one of the biggest stars in sport at the time, Rousey had the feeling that it was her responsibility to talk about the issue, comparing with the unfair treatment of American Olympians after she had lived out of her car for a number of years.
“Well, what was going on, I think that was the result of the unfair treatment of the American Olympians, which really faded compared to how unfair it is that Nick (Diaz) has five years of suspension, I am sorry, nobody asked me anything, but I have to say anything.
“It is not so good that he is suspended for Marihuana for five years. I am even against those who do not even test weed, it is not a performance -enhancing drug, it has nothing to do with athletic competition, it is only tested for political reasons … Why do they not test for all other things that we can be there that we are there?
“Nick is a very good friend of mine, so I will of course defend him, but I see that it is so unfair as one person tests on steroids who can really hurt a person and the other person smokes a plant that makes them happy and he is suspended for five years … it is not fair,” she continued emotionally.
The Stockton star returned more than five years later as soon as his suspension was served, so that Lawler removed him 17 years after his first victory.
Unfortunately, Diaz was embarrassed and he has not participated since.
