Arsenal begin talks to wrap up summer transfer before FIFA Club World Cup

Arsenal -Midfender Jorginho seems to leave the club this summer and is linked to a move to Brazil and the Gunners are now in conversation to complete a deal

Arsenal is in conversation to end Jorginho's enchantment in the club even earlier while he touches a move to Brazil. The Italian midfielder is without a contract at the end of the season and is available on a free transfer.

The former Chelsea star is not expected to put pen on paper on a new deal with the Gunners. The Brazilian side Flamengo is linked this summer to a move for Jorginho – and it seems that they are trying to seal his services earlier.

Flamengo is in conversation with Arsenal with regard to the prospect to release him early from his contract to enable him to play during the club World Cup this summer. They will get their campaign against Es Tunis on 17 June, with their next match against Jorginho's former side Chelsea. Club America and Lafc are confronted with a play -off to decide their third opponents.

When discussions go to the plan, Jorginho is expected to make a contract with his new employers until 2028. An agreement still has to be concluded, but Arsenal is willing to facilitate his request.

Earlier this season, Jorginho's agent Joao Santos spoke that he was ready to have conversations with a number of interested parties. He said: “Jorginho has returned to London. From April 15 I will start conversations in England, including Arsenal, as well as teams from Italy, Saudi Arabia and Brazil.”

Jorgino came to Arsenal from London Rivals Chelsea in 2023 for a reported fee of £ 12 million. During his time he was made at the Emirates 79 performances in all competitions and scored twice.

If discussions should go as expected, then his last Arsenal match will be the Premier League confrontation this weekend with relegated Southampton on St Mary's on Sunday. And although he likes to go onto the field, Mikel Arteta will be without a few stars.

Arsenal -Paar Jurrien Timber and William Saliba will miss the last game of the Gunners of the season on the south coast. Full-back wood has undergone an ankle surgery and Saliba in the middle of half will also miss the trip from Sunday to St Mary's after being rejected during the break in the weekend win on Newcastle.

Arsenal -Baas Arteta told Premier League World TV: “William unfortunately goes out for a few weeks. He pulled his hamstring against Newcastle. Jurrien was operated on his ankle yesterday, so he will also come out for a few weeks.”

Arsenal will secure second place in the Premier League by avoiding the defeat against the soil placed Southampton. They have already guaranteed a place in the Champions League of next season.
