The Golf Superstar, 36, is a huge United fan and has attended various competitions in Old Trafford over the years.
Still fresh from his epic master success last month, McIlroy started to Spain to encourage his beloved Red Devils in the Europa League final.
United -icon Ferdinand and Scholes will deal with the huge match of tonight for TNT sports.
The duo will be on Punditry tasks next to Tottenham -heroes Glenn Hoddle and Gareth Bale -with Darren Fletcher and Ally McCoist on comment.
Prior to the game, McIlroy and Ferdinand radiated while they caught up in a hotel lobby.
The Noord -Ier and his Caddy Harry Diamond then posed for a photo next to Ferdinand, Scholes and Fletcher.
McIlroy is still at a peak of his Masters Triumph.
Last month, the Golf icon completed his career Grand Slam by eliminating Justin Rose in a dramatic play -off.
McIlroy was in the United States last week who participated in the PGA championship.

After he won the Masters, McIlroy was asked if he would bring the green jacket to a competition at Old Trafford.
The victorious golfer joked: “Ah, perhaps if it can inspire better game, absolutely!”
United by McIlroy's brutal quip, United Baas Ruben Amorim said the next day in a video message: “Hello Rory, congratulations for the Masters!
“I want to invite you to Old Trafford to show your trophy. It is really important to us at the moment.
“You have achieved something that many people thought would be impossible. We want that feeling in our stadium.
“So I hope to see you soon at Old Trafford and meet you.”
