Mo Salah immediately rubs salt in Man Utd wounds with message to Ange Postecoglou

Mohamed Salah was quick to congratulate Tottenham after they had reduced Manchester United in the Europa League final – greeted ange postecoglou to deliver his word

Mohamed Salah quickly congratulated Tottenham's Europa League success as the Liverpool icon referred to the second season claim of Ange Postecoglou. The Australian was adamant to deliver this term a trophy, as was the case in the past.

Postecoglou has been able to continue with his trend and support his words by winning on the European stage, to beat Manchester United in the final when Brennan Johnson devised the only goal in San Mames.

Tottenham has been bad in its own country and is 17th in the Premier League, but was able to get up in Europe. They have seen Frankfurt and Bodo/Glimt on their way to the final and the Liverpool icon has recognized the success of Tottenham and the claim of their manager.

The Egyptian tweeted: “He said he would win in his second season. Congratulations!” – And it was replaced by Jamie Carragher. Earlier this season, Postecoglou stacked the pressure on himself when he stated that he delivered during his management career in his second season.

He said a few months ago when the pressure started to stimulate: “I usually win things in my second season. That is the whole idea. The first year is about determining principles and creating a foundation. Hopefully the second year will win things.”

He doubled that daring claim and added: “I will correct myself – I usually do not win things, I always win things in my second year. Nothing has changed. I have said it now, I say no things unless I believe them.”

The Tottenham boss has been able to support and succeed his words where the will of Mauricio Pochettino, Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte failed. They could not deliver the trophy that the club wanted this way, but they now demanded for the first time since the Carling Cup in 2008.

Former Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson said on the BBC: “The players, the staff, the supporters who you can see what that means for the club. They have won a trophy. They have removed that 'Spursy' tag and no one can point it out to them. 17 long years without a trophy, it turns around.”

Postecoglou has challenged one of the worst competition campaigns in the history of Tottenham. They have been defeated more than 20 times, but the Australian has been able to cover themselves for those setbacks by claiming glory in Europe and thereby landing a place in the Champions League.
